You are invited to our Blackpowder, Muzzleloader Shoot at the Pleasant River Fish & Game Conservation Association in Columbia, Maine, on October 7th & 8th, 2023.  This is the third Blackpowder event we have hosted in recent years, and we hope to bring anyone and everyone with an interest in Blackpowder and history together.  We would like this to become a popular, annual gathering.

Planned events include:
     50 yard Rifle, Smoothbore and Pistol Competitions
     100 yard Rifle and Smoothbore Competitions
     Military Volleyfire Competitions
     Smoothbore and RifleWoods Walks
     Demonstrations, Fun shoots, and Plinking
     Open range times for Plinking.

Additionally, primitive cooking, crafts, and living history skills, and lifestyle will be on
display and all participants are encouraged break out their wools, buckskins, irons,
and woods, and plan on having a fun and interesting time.

As with all our activities we welcome the whole family and encourage everyone to get involved, get
hands on.

Overnight camping is available with primitive camping and primitive
living and history set-ups and demonstrations encouraged.  A Pot Luck Dinner is scheduled on Saturday night.

Our facility is located on the Pleasant River so activities such as hiking, fishing, swimming,
 & canoeing are available on site.

Cost: $20 for the weekend with camping, $15 Shooting only, $10 Saturday,
$5 Sunday shooting only. Youth under 12 free.

0700- 0830 Arrival, Registration

0830-0900 Opening, Introductions, Safety Briefing

0900-1200 50 YDR Rifle Orientation, Clay and Paper Targets

100 YDR SB Orientation, 50 yard and 100 yard Paper Targets

1200-1300 Lunch

1300-1600 50 YDR Rifle & SB Paper Targets, Gong, Turkey and open Time

100YDR Rifle & SB Paper Targets, Gong

200 YDR Rifle and/or SB Woodswalk (1500-1600)

1600-1730 100 YDR SB Military Volley Fire (optional)

1730-1800 Wind down,

1800-1900 - Potluck Dinner

1900-until Campfire

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8TH

0700-0830 Arrival Registration

0830-0900 Reintroduction, Safety Briefing

0900-1300 50 YDR Rifle & SB Paper, Clays, Turkey, Solo (and Team Shoots?)

100 YDR Rifle & SB Paper, Gong, Solo and Team shoots (Volley?)

200 YDR Paper Targets

1300- Wind down, Awards, Head Home
